Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Grandchildren took me here for pre-Mothers Day lunch ... We really enjoyed the food & service ... Took leftovers home to my husband & he was happy with the flavor of the food even after reheating in the microwave!

Service outstanding. Food exceptional and abundant. Cost very reasonable. Reason not to make this restaurant a weekly tradition? NONE! Thank you El Patron!

We were really hopeful that Junction City finally had a good Mexican Restaurant. Not the case. I will say the service is good, staff are friendly. The food leaves a lot to be desired though. My Carne Asada was okay - not good, just okay. The beans have a canned taste. The rice tastes old. The menu and the food quality is exactly the same as Don Juans, which is just a few miles up River Road. Please give us something unique to JC. Give us some flavor, por favor!!!?? This restaurant is a good location in JC, take advantage of it and show this area how good and fresh actual authentic Mexican food can be.

The nachos were fantastic. Service was stellar. Love their salsa. Nice, casual, clean restaurant. Note: if you are really hungary, order your own nachos. I shared with my hubby (shredded beef nachos jalisco) and wanted my own. Last visit we had enchiladas and tacos (chicken). That was yummy too.

Ate here for the first time since change in ownership. What a difference! So bright and clean! Both hubby and I had #40 Juan's Special Enchiladas. They were delicious! Service was very attentive and friendly. Great addition to JC!

One reviewer said "typical non authentic" that is only mostly true. You might have to dig a little but you can find a gem. Such as the grilled authentic enchiladas. They are different than most Gringos are used to but they are authentic to the state of Jalisco and absolutely fantastic. It's the cook's favorite and he knows what he's doing. The chile releno was also fantastic. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant. The only downside is the lack of parking, a real bummer in the rain. Signs everywhere about not parking in Bugsy's lot cause you will get towed. We'll still be back.

I was very excited to try out a new restaurant here in JC. I went with the steak fajitas my plate was massive. The steak was nice and tender was pleased with my dish. My boyfriend had a burrito which he really enjoyed. The chips and salsa were very good as well as the bloody marys we ordered. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Definently will be back. Very nice place.

I went again just in case I hadn't tried the most authentic dish on the menu, as one reviewer suggested I dig a little. Well it was even more disappointing this time. One of the owners admitted to not serving any authentic Mexican food because it does not sell. According to their many successful restaurants such as Don Juan they are able to make a wonderful living selling bland food. His words. Not mine. They can keep their bland food. It's disgusting. And if you do not like their food, don't let them know as they do not take feedback well.

I've eaten here once. While the portions were large and the service was good... it had to have been the most bland Mexican food I have ever had.
